Community Survey: Apitipi Anicinapek Nation Election Law

The purpose of this survey is intended to be a follow up from the engagement session that was held on July 31st, 2024. Due to the heatwave and unforeseen circumstances, this session was cut short and prevented the facilitator from addressing all the planned questions, the session was productive. Chief June Black, Community members that participated both in person and online, collectively agreed to conclude the session and ensure that the remaining discussions were done through a survey.

Key Decisions and Next Steps
During the session, it was agreed that:

  • A survey would be circulated to gather the remaining input on the AAN Election Law.
  • The next engagement sessions would take place during the week of August 26th (date TBD), focusing on:
    • Elders (AM)
    • Youth (PM)
    • Final Session for All Members

Timeline and Reporting
There has been such an enthusiastic amount of community members both online and in person who wish to submit feedback on the AAN Election Law. All submissions can be sent to [email protected] ALL feedback & all survey responses and summary reports will be kept anonymous to ensure privacy and encourage open and honest feedback from community members. Should you have any feedback it must be sent by NO LATER than August 30th, 2024

August 9th 2024 – Survey Submitted to AAN Community Members (online)

  • August 30th, 2024: All engagement sessions, including the survey responses, need to be completed.
  • Week of August 26th, 2024: Elders (AM) Session #3 & Youth (PM) (all written feedback, online & email responses, and in-person discussions)
